Bog standard spoons. Locks broken on the toilets, wooden floor is constantly sticky not sure how that works friendly enough staff cheepish beer and ok food good for a staff night out or as a stop off before getting a train to swansea to wet the beak.
Good value and popular, the David Protheroe is starting to look a little worn inside. The town centre location means that even at lunchtimes it's busy with regulars who've often already had quite a few. In consequence it's not always a good choice if you've got kids, despite the kids menus and family friendly advertising. Time for another face lift perhaps?
Classic Spoons. This one has the added bonus of sometimes having two cocktail pitchers for 10 which I haven't seen in any other Wetherspoons, where it's usually two for 12.
Excellent food and service. Friendly staff. Always enjoy our visit.
Ordered food for myself and hubby, only one meal arrived, went to ask after other meal and apparently the member of staff hadn't ordered it!! Apparently staff members first day, maybe management need to provide adequate training! Had refund and shared one cold meal between us, not what we had planned!
