Went to see Santa feeding his reindeer , the children enjoyed even though it was raining very heavily. It was nice and warm in the Craft hall where activities offered were free. You could donate any amount if desired.the cafe was warm and inviting with lovely coffee and great children's meals in boxes , good variety. Plenty of parking spaces and a lovely Scenic route back to the car. Well worth a visit, take a picnic in the warmer weather.
Absolutely spectacular the warm of the orangry really shone through. I was a load of cows in the field what made me hungry. There was a sign for apes but non in sight. Witch was a shame because apes are one of my favourite animals and also cows.
Great park. We come for the Santa feeding the reindeer event every year. It's so well organised and a lovely cafe on site for hot chocolate, soup or even a fresh meat baguette. Great playground for the children too with fairy land themed houses to explore.
Large car park costing 5 for the day Beautiful grounds to walk around with 2 children's play areas. There is a play village based on fairy tales incuding a castle . There is ruins from an old monastery which is great Place for photo shoots. Great walks (DOGS allowed ,) with a lake and on our last visit we were fortunate to be close to the local deer. They have a small gift shop and cafe and outside seating area for picnics. Great family day out and value for money
Take your walking boots and explore the lovely park area. Dogs are fine on leads. Plenty for kids to do, with some animal enclosures, a duck pond and a playground. There's also a small cafe near toilets and a picnic area. You can't go inside the house, just into the entrance hall but no further. The orangery is beautiful but often closed for events.
